Vaping is still a really new practice around the world and it is still largely unstudied. While several major studies have been launched over the last couple of years, these studies have not quite concluded and are still currently underway. What is known through a small amount of isolated evidence, however, is that vaping can cause serious health issues, including lung tissue damage. How e-cigarettes and vaping devices are able to destroy lung tissue is not currently known, nor is it fully understood where usage frequency and other important factors play into it all.
People Have Been Hospitalized
A dozen or more people within the United States alone have been hospitalized over the last year due to suffering from severe lung tissue damage as a result of vaping tobacco.
What is a certainty is that a dozen or more people within the United States alone have been hospitalized over the last year due to suffering from severe lung tissue damage as a result of vaping tobacco. Due to the fact that there are so many different types of vaping devices and vaping substances, doctors and healthcare experts are having a really difficult time figuring out how this is happening. Two of the most recent cases required the patient to be placed into a medically induced coma.
So far, some experts are speculating that the lung disease and lung tissue damage cases could be linked to using faulty vaping devices or vaping excessively. The problem with the vaping industry is that it is largely unregulated. That means that sub-standard vaping cartridges, devices, and other vaping related products are being imported into the US from places with extremely poor health standards, such as China. In some cases, people may have vaped a contaminated cartridge or faulty e-pen that ended up causing the serve lung tissue damage.
National Health Warnings
Experts across the medical industry are urging government officials to crack down on e-cigarettes and vaping in general in order to give researchers the proper amount of time needed to investigate the situation. Government officials and lawmakers are certainly looking at the situation closely, with some politicians calling for outright bans on e-cigarettes and vaping until the technology and practice is better understood. While it is extremely unlikely that vaping will be outlawed, what is a near certainty is that the vaping industry is going to be more regulated than it is now.
Cannabis Oil is a Safer Alternative
Cannabis oil, also known as CBD oil or hemp oil, has been studied far more extensively than vaping juice and liquid nicotine. CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a powerful anti-inflammatory and one of two major cannabinoids found within the marijuana and hemp plant. Thus far, research has not found any negative health effects, especially regarding respiratory health, within patients that smoke hemp oil. Hemp oil is a pure and healthy substance, whereas, the chemical composition within e-juice and nicotine loaded products can be extremely toxic.
Use CBD Instead
Doctors and health professionals that have extensively studied CBD and how it interacts with the human body seem to be unanimously in favor of a patient smoking hemp oil, as opposed to vaping nicotine e-juice. With people that have a compulsion to smoke or inhale a substance such as nicotine, some experts feel that these people should instead smoke hemp oil. Smoking hemp oil could serve as a healthy means for someone to wean themselves off of a nicotine addiction since the person can still go through the motions of smoking CBD oil.
